The North Harris County Regional Water Authority’s primary assignment is to develop and implement a strategy for complying with the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District’s Regulatory Plan that requires a reduction in groundwater usage to no more than 20 percent of total water demand by the year 2030.
The fee is $2.90 per every 1,000 gallons of water (this rate went into effect April 2016).
